MEXICO CITY TRANSPORT

Mexico City Transportation - You can use the metro, bus, train, taxi or limo service to get from one location to the next. You can also rent a car in New Mexico if you prefer to get around the city on your own. Another great way to see the most of the city is by a tour. See the tour section for some recommendations to make your trip the best that it can be. Take along your camera so you can capture some of New Mexico’s beautiful scenery.

Travel Guide

Be careful while you’re out and about. Always be around a group of people and stay away from empty parking lots for your own safety. If you’re driving around the town be sure to follow the rules of the road and obey parking and speed limit signs.

When getting a taxi your best bet is a Radio Taxi which you can telephone to order. The hotel will give your some numbers. Radio taxis have an antennae and they can be flagged down in the street.

Trolleys run on a number of routes while buses criss cross the city to all areas – you easily see the bus stops, just make sure it is going to the destination you want. The Metro is clean and efficient and there are two lines.

The cost of tickets is very reasonable and you can also buy an "abono de transporte" to cover all forms of transport.

Or you can get a Collectivos or Peseros, a mini bus that takes a number of passengers to their destination for a small fee. They are white minibuses with a red stripe. They go along the main avenues and they’ll drop you off where you want to go.

Have fun on your trip, that’s the most important thing. However you get around the city of New Mexico you’ll find the city to be truly fun and exciting.
